End of School Trip

The last day of school, we surprised the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge for 3 days.
When we walked into the room, they were greeted with their own little log cabin where they would be sleeping.  The details in the decorating were just so much fun to play with and look at.

Aliana'a bed.

Alex's top bunk.

Tony's bottom bunk.

At our first dinner after the water park (they kids may still look wet).

Playing arcades after dinner.

This was so funny.  The video game's object was to destroy the giant spiders as you ride through the jungle before thy attack you.  It was so intense that it became so funny.  The above picture was real where the below picture was staged, since it was a bit too real.

Next, "build a bear" well "build a woodland creature".
Alex built and dressed a green dragon in knight armor. (It's part of their magic quest game).
Tony built and dressed a red dragon in ranger gear.
Aliana built and dressed a wolf in a pink and purple outfit.  Her name is Violet.

A view from our room.

Look at this Great fireplace in their lobby.  The kids look so tiny.
Water park time!

Aliana was so cute learning the waves and getting comfortable with the water. We got to spend some nice time together while the boys went up and down water slides.

Here come all the boys.
They went on this slide 10 times.

My turn with the boys.
Here we go at the beginning of the ride. I was brave enough to let go too and take a picture.

Lilly pad jumping with pad that actually moved.
On to the lazy river where it really wasn't lazy when the kids want to swim through the jets, currents, waterfalls amongst the other people.  It was fun and they all did great without life jackets.  It was a great way to start out the summer.

The next adventure was the magiquest, where the kids received wands with a mission to gather certain objects through out the hotel...a technical magical scavenger hunt.

Taking a break to give a little hug.

Alright there's more things to do.
We are now coloring t-shirts.
A happy daddy coloring with his daughter.

Now we are getting ready to see a short show where all the creatures behind them come alive.

This is the last activity (Mark and I were so tired by this time) on the 3rd day.
The kids got glitter tattoos.
Alex had a dragon.

Aliana got Violet, the girl wolf.
The same character that she got stuffed in a previous activity.
Tony got a shark.

And.....we are done and out cold for naps in the car on our way home. Where we met up with Grammy and Roger waiting at our house.  Whew, it was a packed little stay-cation.  But fun!!
