Alex signed up for the Dirty Scurry Mud Race Event along side the Trinity River in Ft. Worth with our Homeschool group as a team. The course was a mile along with 10 obstacles ALL in the mud.
He ran with his friend Matthew from PE class.
So as the boys lined up at the starting line, Mark and my friend Renee ran with them as her husband and son walk with me, Tony and Aliana.
They just hit their 1st obstacle. I can hear Alex saying, "I can't believe this!"
Standing in line to TRY to climb the mud hill to slide down the other side.
There he goes...trying!
Remember, Alex is wearing the red shorts.
He just came out of the dark muddy tunnel with kids in front and behind him.
He said that was scary. You couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. There were too many kids and we just had to go.
They did it!
It was so much fun to cheer for them to keep them going. By the end of the race they had probably gained 10 pounds of clay that they had to run to the finish line with.
We will do this next year with Tony.
