Exploration of the Mountains

One of the 1st things that we did with the boys was to teach them about guns with a bebe gun.  They "had" (not anymore) a big fascination with them.  To the point that it started to concern us.  So what better place to teach the boys about gun safety, but in the mountains.  After they were done, they walked away and wanted to hike and then there was no more talk about them....mission accomplished ~ Good job Daddy!
We were on one of our various hikes behind the cabin that over looked the valley.
Great picture of Mom and Dad; the two people that put this fabulous well-planned trip together for ALL their kids and grandkids.  We all stayed at the cabin that housed 7 adults & 7 children under the age of 6 plus Pops & Judy every night for dinner.  Good job guys!!
We sat down on one of the original wagon seats that road through the valley long long ago.  The path of the wagon train still exists behind the cabin.
We were finding our walking sticks to take a hike.
We saw cows at the bottom of the hill and thought we would go see them, needless to say they were farther away than we thought and could only make it half way and then decided to climb and play on the tractors.
The boys love to be carried this way ;-)
