The boys were to paint their tree bark, color and cut out their blooming leaves, glue those on the tree with flowers, butterflies, and animals/bugs. We then took a nature walk distinguishing what springtime brings while using their 5 senses.

Their tree is dry and now they get to construct it for the spring.

... The breath of God produces ice. The shallow water freezes over. He loads the clouds with moisture. He scatters his lightning through them. He directs the clouds to circle above the surface of the whole earth. They do everything he commands them to do. ...he brings the clouds to water his earth and show his love.

The weather in Round Rock was fabulous, BUT those awful allergens.....AUGHHHHH! I thought it was great fun taking a walk and helping the kids identify Spring using all their senses. You have wonderful teaching ideas Amy! Love, Mom L
