We had a awesome morning having a birthday playdate at my friends house and then off to the fire station for a tour (I might have been a little bit more excited to see it than the boys; I've never been to one before.)
The boys were looking forward to seeing the coats and helmets the most, well besides the actual fire truck.
Feeling how heavy the coats really are (A workout in itself).
Firefighter Anthony
Firefighter Alex
There were 2 little coves that looked like this for all their coats, helmets, boots, etc.
YAY! Fire truck time.
Alex was very distrubed from seeing this man lying on the ground. He asked the lady, "What's wrong with that man? Why's he lying on the ground?" Look at Alex's face. One of the firefighters was trying to explain that it wasn't real so he jumped on the dolls stomach and chest and stood there. Alex gasped and held his head with a mortified look on this face. I'm now thinking, "Oh man, mamma you're going to be up with this child tonight." He is probably going to have dreams about this one! I had to but-in and explain to him that this was just a doll to help the firefighters practice on saving people from the fires.
She's explaining to the children that these bricks and chains are for car fires.
Aliana loved it though. She tried to drag it and the doll's arm took her down to the ground. (look below). So she stayed on the ground holding the dolls hand smiling at everyone.
I'm thinking~ ok, lets move on please ;-)
Alex was so interested in everything she was saying he was at the front of the group.
Aliana and Lonna (20M) talking "baby" together. Cute!
A tool used to pull down celings.
Time for the axe~very heavy.
Getting very close to being able to get inside of the truck.
Yay, it's time to climb up~lets go!
Wow, look at all the button and dials.
Trying to hold the hose.
Tony's turn with a little help.
Now, Alex asked for the mask and he brought it out. He had to do a little skit with hi-fives to make the children feel at ease when they saw this scary object on his face.
Mask is on and no one even Aliana was scared~good!
(She gives hi-fives now!)

Bringing the fire truck out with the lights going.
So hungry so off to get some lunch and play in a playscape.
We had so much fun this morning and it tuckered evryone out that they all slept all afternoon.
How nice!!

WOW...incredible!! What an experience for the kids and moms alike. I would've loved to have been there. Was there a cost to do the tour? Alex seemed "very" interested in everything. Who knows what God has planned for his life - maybe a Fire firghter. How cool! Great party!! Oh and Ali was right in front with the boys and I loved how she held the manikins hand.
Love,
Noni <3
