We all just arrived in Washington, DC and met up at Capital City Grill to have lunch and catch up before all the craziness starts that night.
On our way to Mount Vernon, George Washington's Plantation.
After being lost for about an hour (Rob's look) and pleasantness from Mom and Dad (courteousness). We actually were really happy we got lost in the city since we were able to see so much of it.
Arrival to the tour. George Washington's Mansion.
His Italian marble fireplace and vases.
The kitchen and cooking fireplace/ wood burning (of course) oven on the wall.
Yes those are turkey's and hens hanging from the ceiling. This was their smoke house.
Their Salt House.
Spinning Room.
The men slave's dormitory.
The other side of the men's dormitory: sleeping quarter bunks.
Women slave's dormitory.
On our way back to the hotel.
Rob is out cold sleeping after a long night of touring and eating and Ashli woke instantly for a photo.
