All the kids ate outside for all the meals if we were home. It really made for an easy cleanup and less conjestion in the kitchen.
The day the family was to leave the boys played costumes, we read/learned alittle from teacher/momma/aunt, rode bikes, chalked outside and played games inside.
Scott & Stacy and Grandpa Steve & Jean-ma all came bearing gifts for everyone. It looked like Christmas and they are still playing with them today; therefore they passed the test. ;-)

We celebrated Grandpa Steve's b-day with a pumpkin caramel cheesecake.

We took the kids to vist about 3 parks (they will be in another posting). This one was a little tour of Austin and we stopped off at Zilker Park to let the kids play, see Barton Natural Springs Pool, the Capital and TSU.

Then we went over to Nick and Thea's (after the wedding) to visit for a little bit before everyone had to go back to CO. Nick had a special surprise for the boys...the firefighter's gear. Alex ate it up!
The boys loved it. Seeing a man dressed up with all their gear on can be scary for a little guy, but they did good. I think taking fieldtrips to the Fire Dept and seeing the men go from street clothes to the fire gear helped. This process is easier to comprehend as opposed to just turning around and seeing someone dressed like this without seeing their face is a bit unnerving.
